super chill owner, outdoor equipment and decor all over, great coffee especially the cappuccino
A Tier
Crema
SE 28th and Ankeny
excellent coffee and food, always stacked though
Floyd’s Coffee
Ladd’s Addition circle
great coffee and service, fun location to sit and watch the circle, also has wine and snacks at night!
PUSH X PULL
SE Stark and 9th
pretty solid lattes, lots of nice modern space
they also make the best facsimile of my favourite “guilty pleasure” coffee from Peet’s: nitro cold brew, simple syrup, and half and half
B Tier
Clinton St Coffeehouse
SE 26th and Clinton
super friendly staff and good bagel sandwiches, great neighbourhood coffee shop vibes, not the best coffee though and gets overrun with local highschoolers
Water Ave Coffee
SE Water Ave and Taylor
pretty good coffee that’s also readily available in many grocery stores around town. Pastries are just ok.
Honey Latte Cafe
SE 11th and Main
good coffee and interesting specials, a couple blocks away from one of the best food cart pods in town (Asylum), would be a good place to work-from-coffee-shop
Futura Coffee Roasters
SE Division and 43rd
decent cappuccino, really good vanilla latte
well light, bright, quiet space with very few people in, would be perfect for working-from-coffee-shop
C Tier
Fresh Pot
SE Hawthorne and 37th
really friendly staff, the most fun logo, but their coffee is just ok
D Tier
Coava Coffee
SE Grand and Main
coffee is a bit too caffeinated for me, makes my stomach grouchy afterwards. Always busy
Stumptown Coffee
SW 3rd and Pine
similar to Coava in that it’s too caffeinated for me, gives me the jitters
